How To Get Involved In Our Community

Country Club HOA welcomes and appreciates when residents make time to give back to our community as volunteers. There are a number of ways to get involved including serving on the Country Club HOA Board,  Welcome Committee, Social Committee or Safety Committee. If you are interested in helping out, visit our Contact page below or email us directly at cscchoa@gmail.com.

  • Social Committee

The goal of our Social Committee is to increase opportunities to get to know our neighbors and build community spirit. Social events give us a chance to get to know folks who have recently moved to our neighborhood as well as renew friendships with long-standing members of the neighborhood.

In past years, we have held Ice Cream Socials, Block Parties and Community Garage Sales as well as an Annual Meeting. Based on the success of these events, we plan to repeat them each year. We are always looking for new ways to connect. If you have suggestions for community events, want to volunteer to help with a specific event or would like to join the Social Committee, please contact Amanda Schneider at amandajane17@gmail.com or (719)-331-7705.

  • Garden Club

The “ Grateful Deadheaders” is our neighborhood garden group which has met the last Sunday of each month April through September since 2020. Everyone is welcome to join us to learn about the monthly special gardening topic, as well as to discuss our various gardening issues, share bulbs and plant clippings, and to visit some of our well-landscaped neighborhood gardens. With our members’ various levels of expertise and interest, we are willing to offer ideas and advice on anyone’s plant questions and landscaping challenges. No gardening expertise or experience required – just bring your interest in gardening!

Contact Susan Henderson at (719) 641-1151 or sjhenderson53@gmail.com for information about upcoming meeting dates and locations.

  • Book Club

Do you like to read but need some motivation? Interested in what other folks think about a particular book? Interested in an opportunity to get to know some of your neighbors as well? We have started a neighborhood book club.

It provides an opportunity to get together, have snacks and some light conversation about whatever book we choose to read together. If you are interested, please contact Susan Henderson at sjhenderson53@gmail.com or (719) 641-1151.

  • Safety Committee

Members of the safety committee help with crime prevention/awareness (not neighborhood watch), fire mitigation, Snow Angel/Firefly Programs, and emergency evacuations.

  • Trash Coordinator

This role includes communicating details of Trash Program with residents, serving as primary point of contact with Waste Connections for new customer set-up and beyond, reconciling the monthly bill and communicating with Treasurer on bill payment.
